Documentation Standards

 

Paper Size & Margins

1. The page size must be in A4 (File>Page Setup>Paper>Paper Size).
2. The page margins must be T: 1, B: 1, L: 1.25, R: 1.25 (File>Page Setup>Margins).

 

Paragraph text

1. Most of the times, the font used must be Times New Roman, Sized 12.
2. Do not bold the paragraph text.
3. Use justified alignment for paragraph text
4. Two words must be separated only by a single space other than punctuation symbols

 

Headings

1. No Small letters in the beginning of the headings
2. All the headings must be bold.
3. There should be no spaces from the left unless it is a centered heading
4. All the sub headings must be italicized.

 

Numbering & Bulleting

1. Appropriate numbering must be given for headings and subheadings
2. If a list explains steps to do, that must be number bulleted.
3. If a list lists out some facts/statements, that can be normal bulleted.
